Boop

Boop Privacy Policy

Boop (“we”, “the app”) is a keyboard for iPhone published by AskMaddyy. This policy covers what happens to your data when you use it.

The short version

Boop collects nothing, sends nothing, and stores nothing outside your own device. The app contains no networking code at all.

What Boop stores

Everything Boop saves is stored locally on your iPhone, in a container shared between the app and the keyboard:

  • the faces you save,
  • the faces you used recently,
  • the moods you picked, and your light or dark appearance setting.

The face library

All 24,563 faces ship inside the app as a read-only database file. Nothing is downloaded and no request is ever made to a server.

Full Access

iOS asks for Full Access before any third-party keyboard can do more than insert text. Boop uses it for exactly two things: reading and writing your saved faces and recents in the shared container, and haptic feedback on key taps. Boop does not record, store, or transmit anything you type. It has no network code, so it is not technically able to send your keystrokes anywhere, with or without Full Access.

What Boop does not do

  • No analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting.
  • No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
  • No accounts, no sign-in, no email collection.
  • No third-party SDKs of any kind.
  • No data sold or shared with anyone, because none is collected.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything Boop stored, including saved faces and recents. There is nothing held anywhere else to delete.

Children

Boop collects no data from any user, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date at the top.
